A well-kept lawn makes the whole garden look cared for. Casey Jones offers lawn mowing for homes and commercial properties, either as a regular visit through the growing season or as a one-off cut when the grass has got ahead of you.

Every visit covers more than just the mowing. The edges are trimmed along borders, paths and patios, and the clippings are cleared so you are left with a clean, finished lawn rather than a pile of grass to deal with.

Regular mowing or a one-off cut

Grass grows fastest from spring into early summer, and again after rain in late summer. Through those months a weekly or fortnightly cut keeps the lawn even and stops it getting away from you. Regular customers get a set visit pattern, so the lawn always looks tidy without you having to think about it.

If you only need a single cut, for example before a party, after a holiday, or before you put a house on the market, that is fine too. Long grass is brought down in stages where needed rather than scalped in one go.

Cutting for a healthier lawn

A common rule in lawn care is to avoid taking off more than about a third of the grass height in one cut. Cutting too short in one go stresses the grass, lets moss and weeds in and can leave brown patches in dry weather. Mowing height is adjusted through the year, slightly higher in hot, dry spells and in autumn, so the lawn stays thicker and greener.

Homes and commercial grounds

As well as private gardens, Casey can look after lawns and grass areas for landlords, holiday lets, offices and other commercial properties. Tell him how often you want the grass cut and the visits can be planned around that.

FAQs

Lawn Mowing questions

How often should my lawn be mowed?

In the main growing season, roughly April to September, most lawns look best with a cut every one or two weeks. Growth slows in early spring and autumn, so visits can be spaced out. Casey can suggest a pattern that suits your lawn.

Do you take the grass clippings away?

Yes. Clippings are collected and cleared away, and paths and patios are cleaned off before Casey leaves.

Can you cut a lawn that has grown very long?

Yes. Very long grass is cut down in stages where needed so the lawn is not scalped, then tidied and edged.

Do I need to be home for the visit?

Not usually, as long as Casey can get into the garden. Access can be arranged when you book.

How much does lawn mowing cost?

Every garden is different, so there is no one-size price. Casey visits, looks at the job and gives you a clear, free estimate before any work starts. There is no obligation to go ahead.
